1.     What does “ensure” in the text mean? 
  Ensure    /ɪnˈʃɔːr /
  To make something certain to happen.
  To make sure, assure
2.      Write one synonym of “ensure”.

3.      Make a sentence of “ensure”.

W    Doing homework will ensure you are a good student.
4.      The meaning of “ensure” sometimes is similar to “insure”. However, “insure” has another meaning which “ensure” does not have. What is the different meaning?
e       Ensure is something you do to guarantee an event or conditions.  Insure is something when you guarantee it.
         Ex: I check the test to ensure completing before turning in for teacher.
         My friend insures her grade going up this month. 
 
 
Overlapping /ˈoʊ.vɚ-/

1. What does the "overlap" in the text mean?
 A flap that lies over another part.
The amount by which two things or activities cover the same area
2. Write one synonym and antonym of "overlap". (Make a sentence of each word, if need be.)
 Synonym: Intersection, convergence, crossing.
  Antonym :divergence
Every times, we discuss problems, we always have divergence from each other.
 I and my mother have overlap felling between us.
3. Make a sentence of overlapping (or "overlap"). 

There wasn't overlap between letters.


Survey ˈsɜː.veɪ/

1. What does "survey" in the text mean? 

 Look over carefully or inspect.

2. What does "survey" in the following sentences mean:
 

The survey is about the best restaurants in Honolulu.

short descriptive summary about something,  
an examination of opinions, behaviour made by asking people questions
a detailed critical inspection
