Dacing with the Devil
70 years ago, the town of kingsvile,Texas, the girl tried to finish homework fast, because she wanted to join the night of High school dance. She was enthusiastic about dancing. She prepared everything for that night. She bought a luxurious dress, so she wanted to be beautiful and attractive. Then her mom came home and didn't let her go. Her mom heard that night was prepared to the devil. However,she was excited to go and waited opportunity to go. Nobody noticed her, so she dressed up and sneaked away. She tan down to the KC.hall where the dance was being held. As soon as, she came into room, all boys were attracted by her. Everyone wanted to dance with her. Her mom always told her that she was awkward to get attention by boys, but that night she was beautiful and not awkward. Some boys in her class argued to dance with her. She got out the crowd and suddenly, the handsome man with jet black hair and clothes standing next her. He asked her to dance with him, attracted by his look, so she agreed and they danced. They got all attention by the crowd. She felt happy and didn't believe that she could dance well at that night, later he spun her fastest. So people saw them dimly. Then, the girl was gone and the man bowed everybody and disappeared. They thought the devil came and caught her.
Vocabulary:
1)Spin:[ verb]revolve very quickly and repeatedly around.
Synonym: go round, swiveled, turn around.
When I can't sleep, I will spin to get tired. It's easy to sleep.
2)Sparkly: [ adv]having flashes of light
Synonym: glittering.
My friend has a new, sparkly pen.
The brand new, sparkly car attracted attention of people in my town.
3) awkward [ adj]: lacking grace or dexterity, clumsy. Causing embarrassment.
Synonym: uncomfortable, inconvenient, unwieldy, gawky, graceless.
My mom always tells that I am too awkward to cook.
4) stammer:[ verb] to speak with involuntary pauses and repetitions of sounds
Synonym: gabble, splutter, stutter.
When I get stress, I will stammer to answer.
5) smashing [ adj.] very good
Synonym: great, cracking.
When she wears a new dress, she look smashing in it.
